I have nick named one week of Mark's schedule hell week. He works 5 out of the 7 days 6-6 and that usually means no car for me. So I decided to make a whole list of projects to do. Mark told me I had what is now loving known in my family as "Dad's weekend floor project." My Dad thought they could redo the wood floors in their home over the weekend...2 weeks later the floors were done. Actually it might have been 3 weeks. Anyway my projects included:
Painting the cabinets. BIG shout out to Marsha for the tips on this one. Thanks Marsha!

So here are the before pictures of the kitchen.
Which I did get them painted. They are a little more "streaky" than I wanted but that is because of a situation beyond my control but hey they turned out great. It's okay to be jealous of the yummy stew I have cooking in the crock pot for dinner tonight, smells great!

Oh and painted and covered the
bar stools.

My next project was to repaint Marin's dresser, and paint Paxton's and my dressers.

Here is Marin's dresser before, it wasn't bad but the color of the dresser before was a rust orange color and you could see some of that coming through cause last time we painted it we were in a rush.

Marin's dresser after is now in Paxton's room, Marin decorated the top of the dresser for him. It looks great and it is nice to FINALLY have a dresser in his room.

Next was the dresser that was going to go in Paxton's room. This was after a little bit of sanding it was in some serious need of love! Anyway it is now in Marin's room.

Last but not least is my dresser. My room use to be red, got that crazy idea out of my head that I would like a red room. However, I did want some red in my room so I decided to make our dresser red. We have been meaning to paint it since we got it and have just never gotten around to it. Here is the beauty with the handles already taken off and the holes "plugged"

I can't seem to get a good picture of the dresser now, but lets just say I am IN LOVE! It turned out so great. I am still in search of the perfect something for the top of the dresser but I'll find it. Anyway hell week is over and Mark was a huge help through the whole thing. Couldn't have done it without him. So the next few projects are a little more complex and require a lot more of Mark's assistance....guess what we are going to be doing on his 5 days off week? : )
